付出代价的经验

如今，上当的事也真不少。要获得一种经验也得付出高昂的代价。比如你要请你的朋友吃一顿午饭，你们只要找个幽静的地方边吃边叙即可，而不需要讲排场。你在某一夜总会预订一房间，约好你的朋友去吃饭时，服务员问你吃50元的还是20元的饭，你说吃50元的。等你付款时才知道是每人50元。有时候除了饭菜还得加上饮料钱、酒钱、水果钱和空调钱。钱再多也得付，因为这不是俱乐部的错而是你自己的无知。吃一堑，长一智。长一智，要付出十倍的代价。

Not long ago, I wantd to trat my frind to a lunch. What w rally ndd was a quit plac for som convrsation, not a big mal. So I told my frind,“Lt's go to a nic club.”

Whn I ordrd a day in advanc, I was askd whthr I would at a 20 yuan or 50 yuan lunch. I said,“50 yuan”I didn't raliz, until I was askd to pay aftr th lunch, that“50 yuan” mans“50 yuan for ach prson”.

Thr wr fiv of us th othr day, and all of us wr surprisd by th quality of th 50 yuan mal (for all, w thought). Th bill cam at last; it was 310.40 (250 yuan for th fiv of us plus th chargs for drinks, fruits and air conditioning). I paid th bill without a word.

What could I say? It was not th club's fault. It was my own ignoranc① that mad m pay th largst lunch bill of my lif.

On th whol, it was not so misrabl; w had a good lunch and in a bautiful plac. Bsids, th xprinc was uniqu and will b hlpful in latr yars.

To support th logic of th lunch bill, I hav dvlopd my own calculation②: 50 yuan for th lunch and 260. 40 for th xprinc.
